Alison Harper Polidano, CPA
Alison, owner and founder, specializes in the role of controller/acting CFO for small businesses. With experience acting as an internal auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers and a controller and finance director in the private sector, she has developed an eye for process and efficiency improvements. She has set a precedent for her staff to work seamlessly with on-site teams and audit and tax firms to ensure the client maintains financial compliance with a focus on reducing expenses and improving revenue. In addition to running the business, she has been a part time lecturer at Oakland University and Eastern Michigan University College of Business.
Angie Wilson, Finance
Angie brings a diverse skill set to her clients since 2017, making her an asset in her role as part-time controller for small businesses. She started her career in Ernst & Young’s finance department, managing audit and tax partners books of business and transitioned to managing the finance departments in the San Jose and Palo Alto offices. While working for a fast growing international biotech company she gained experience in the areas of cash accounting, sales analysis, financial planning and forecasting, mergers and acquisitions, sales force alignment and variable compensation, and was responsible for reporting results to executive management. These roles developed her ability to work in a dynamic setting as part of many teams while meeting individual deliverables and deadlines.
Andrea specializes in small business accounting which makes her an ideal part time controller. She has over 15 years of experience, since 2019 with AP Finance, with standard accounting practices and business operations management. In her previous role as Controller for AArbor Colorants Corporation, a national pigment distributor, she implemented inventory controls and management systems, handled all product importing, conducted semi-annual warehouse audits, and managed all accounting and HR tasks. Prior to that, she served as the Lead Accountant and Operations Manager for IntraCrete Concrete Coatings where she was responsible for tax prep and filing, payroll, scheduling, product procurement and tracking, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. Her comprehensive skill set contains a blend of experience that has given her a knowledgeable understanding of what it takes to keep your finances and accounting compliance in order and help your business thrive.
Jenny joined AP Finance in 2023 and is a dynamic accounting professional with experience as a Controller working with business owners and management both domestically and foreign-owned. She has experience with supplying financial information for annual tax returns, R&D Tax Credits, Audits as well as for mergers and acquisitions. Jenny has also been responsible for the success of multiple functions in addition to Accounting & Finance such as, Human Resources, Project Accounting and Purchasing making her a well-rounded Controller for any business. She is working with larger clients with a focus on start ups.
Mary came in 2019 from an inventory management background and has moved up through the ranks of AP Finance to go from an accountant to acting controller. She is proficient in Quickbooks Online and Quickbooks Desktop. She now oversees accountants on half of her book of business and handles month end close. She will ensure her clients have the best treatment and is one fast learner and adapter. Her forte is multitasking and she always gets the work done! She mostly handles businesses under $2M. She has additional skills surrounding inventory tracking and management.
Deb joined AP Finance in 2018 from a health background. She learned Quickbooks Online quickly and subsequently Quickbooks desktop. She is a great addition to any small business accounting team as part time accounting staff. She is able to handle all day to day A/P and A/R transactions. She is able to track expenses and ensure credit card charges are accurate and tie back to valid receipts or monthly charges. She is proficient in monthly commission payments and processing payroll. She is also able to ensure inventory products are shipped and tracked and work with sales representatives for their needs. She is great at follow through and thinking through situations and understanding client needs.
Pam has extensive Quickbooks experience and at one time helped manage the family business. She is a great addition to any small business accounting team as part time accounting staff. She is able to handle all day to day A/P and A/R transactions. She is able to track expenses and ensure credit card charges are accurate and tie back to valid receipts or monthly charges. She handles reconciliations and inter-company transactions. She is proficient in monthly commission payments and processing payroll. Her personality shines through and she is a joy to work with. She is great at follow-up and ensuring she is doing the best job every time.
Angela came on board with AP Finance after a stint in finance and time off to raise her kids. She a great addition to any small business accounting team as part time accounting staff. She will code bank and credit card transactions, and bills, process payments and follow up with vendors. She can enter invoices to send to customers. She is able to handle basic reconcilations. She is able to track expenses and ensure credit card charges are accurate and tie back to valid receipts or monthly charges. She is proficient in processing payroll. She loves interacting with new people and is a joy in person or virtually. She makes sure she is not letting anything fall through the cracks and is very good about following up on the details.
Krista is new to AP Finance after a transition from being a realtor. She is learning the basics of entering bills in Quickbooks and Bill.com, entering point of sales transactions, reviewing details for daily discrepancies in deposits and vendor follow-up for unpaid bills. She also acts as a project manager for clients that need it.
