Alison Harper Polidano, CPA
Alison specializes in the role of controller/acting CFO for small businesses. With experience acting as an internal auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers and a controller and finance director in the private sector, she has developed an eye for process and efficiency improvements. She has set a precedent for her staff to work seamlessly with on-site teams and audit and tax firms to ensure the client maintains financial compliance with a focus on reducing expenses and improving revenue. In addition to running the business, she has been a part time lecturer at Oakland University and Eastern Michigan University College of Business.
Angie Wilson Tracey, Finance
Angie brings a diverse skill set to her clients, making her an asset in her role as part-time controller for small businesses. She started her career in Ernst & Young’s finance department, managing audit and tax partners books of business and transitioned to managing the finance departments in the San Jose an PaloAlto offices. While working for a fast growing international biotech company she gained experience in the areas of cash accounting, sales analysis, financial planning and forecasting, mergers and acquisitions, sales force alignment and variable compensation, and was responsible for reporting results to executive management. These roles developed her ability to work in a dynamic setting as part of many teams while meeting individual deliverables and deadlines.
Anthony Kurek, CPA
Tony specializes in the role of controller for small businesses. A Michigan Certified Public Accountant since 2006, his experience with Plante Moran as an external auditor, assurance provider, and tax preparer for business clients in the construction (contractor), not-for-profit, higher-education, and manufacturing industries serves as the foundation of his diverse knowledge-base and set of skills. An award-winning Eastern Michigan University lecturer in accounting since 2008, he has developed the accounting skills and professionalism of aspiring accountants and business professionals through teaching undergraduate and graduate level classes.
Andrea specializes in small business accounting which makes her an ideal controller or accountant. She has over ten years of experience with standard accounting practices and business operations management. In her previous role as Controller for AArbor Colorants Corporation, a national pigment distributor, she implemented inventory controls and management systems, handled all product importing, conducted semi-annual warehouse audits, and managed all accounting and HR tasks. Prior to that, she served as the Lead Accountant and Operations Manager for IntraCrete Concrete Coatings where she was responsible for tax prep and filing, payroll, scheduling, product procurement and tracking, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. Her comprehensive skill set contains a blend of experience that has given her a knowledgeable understanding of what it takes to keep your finances and accounting compliance in order and help your business thrive.
Mary is a great asset to any small business accounting team as part time accounting staff. She is proficient in Quickbooks Online and able to handle all day to day A/P and A/R transactions as well as inventory analysis and review of COA transactions. She can work with customers and vendors for any payment needs and reviews all credit card transactions for accuracy and to ensure they tie back to valid expenses. She also handles are reconciliations needed as well as sales tax payments and payroll processing. Her forte is multitasking, organization and follow through.
Deb is a great addition to any small business accounting team as part time accounting staff. She is able to handle all day to day A/P and A/R transactions. She is able to track expenses and ensure credit card charges are accurate and tie back to valid receipts or monthly charges. She is proficient in monthly commission payments and processing payroll. She is also able to ensure inventory products are shipped and tracked and work with sales representatives for their needs. She is great at follow through and thinking through situations and understanding client needs.
Leah is a part time bookkeeper. She is able to handle all day to day A/P and A/R transactions as well as inventory analysis and review of COA transactions and payroll processing and sales tax payments.
